Day 1 (550 miles)

3 AM the alarm goes off and HOLY CRAP I cannot walk again. I stretched out again and I could manage. We got on the road by 4:30. The temperature was in the 60’s and it was fine. It was ok until about 10 and it was in the 90’s when we stopped in York, NE at about 1:30. We got off the road just in time the heat index got up to 110. We sat in the hot tub, and played in the pool. I think everyone was in bed by 6 PM.
