Day 14 (500 miles)

After a short steep windy drive out of the mountains (that left half of the passengers car sick) it was a straight shot to Nebraska. The plan was was to camp at the Windmill State Recreation Area near Gibbon NE. Everything was great until we got off the highway and pulled into the campground. The campground was flooded! It was hot and humid. As soon as we got out of the car we were swarmed by bugs, and it smelled! The good thing was we were only staying the night. We survived the night and got out of there early. Things were just starting to warm up when we left and some new smells had just started. Some one asked if we should take pictures, and I said no we don't want to remember this.
